Overview
The Clinical Research Institute (CRI) is a dedicated research site located in Wichita, KS, affiliated with the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita. CRI specializes in clinical research including phase I through III randomized trials in psychiatric, neurological, and other medical disorders. Phase I experience and capabilities include: normal volunteer and mildly symptomatic volunteer (“bridging”) studies, proof of concept studies, drug-drug interaction studies, and pharmacodynamic-pharmacokinetic studies.
Led by Sheldon Preskorn, MD, CRI is a premiere research facility recognized for its ability to consistently conduct trials in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. Dr. Preskorn and his dedicated clinical research staff have successfully conducted over 175 clinical trials, and have collaborated with more than 50 national and international corporate project sponsors.
CRI is located in Wichita, KS, the largest city in Kansas, with an area population of 500,000. CRI also recruits regionally for studies with a catchment area that totals over 4.5 million.
CRI’s research team is built around an experienced staff of physicians, study coordinators, neuropsychologists, and research assistants. Each study conducted at CRI is done under CRI’s formalized Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), consistent with Good Clinical Practices (GCPs) of the United States Food and Drug Administration.
